The must-have nail polish: BEST of DRUGSTORE GEL POLISHES

I started with a cheap nail polishes. Polishes like Caronia, Chic and Bobbie brands. Brands that are readily available at supermarkets. I did not know about better quality products that time and I cannot afford them before anyway. I thought they are all the same nail polishes. Little did I know that there are huge differences amongst products when it comes to quality and maybe some more worth investing. You’re right! Like nail polishes.

Quality means investment for me. Since nail polishes are quite for long time use and its shelf life reach for long as 3 years for some, it’s not really a guilty buy for moms like me out there. Rather than buying 4 to 5 bottles of cheaper local brands which only be used once since wearing it last only a day I bet, you can really buy 1 quality product that will last forever and will love it and will “really” use it and not only for display in your nail polish drawer or area.

I have not tried super high end products like YSL, Marc Jacobs, Chanel and the like (due unavailability and its unbelievable sky high price plus tax here in the Philippines) however, the mid range products like Revlon, China Glaze, Wet n Wild, Sally Hansen, Maxfactor which are of the same price range and commonly available at any local department store are tried and tested. The only one product I have fallen in love with is the Maxfactor GEL SHINE LACQUER, (PHP290, available at SM or Ayala Malls) So in love that I already collected the only 9 shades available. All of the shades are very opaque and last so well even after laundry and several dishwashing. It does not chip nor streaks due to its self levelling formula as claimed. The colours are so well chosen that it suit me well and I like that water shine effect of real gel polishes. Unlike other gel polishes that does not appear to be so when it comes to lustre and longevity.
